This facade is visible from far and indicate where one can have a coffee break.
290 units produced for BP gas stations in France
The challenge was to design the machine’s facade without changing any technical parts initially used. I decided to work on the visibility. These machines are placed at the back of freeway shops, one needs to directly know where to have a coffee break.
Technical parts were not appealing, especially the cup receptacle. As I couldn’t hide it, I decided to include it within a exaggeratedly visible shape to catch the eye and bring less attention on this part. I choose to design a facade as smooth and the interface as easy to use and minimalist as possible.
Selecta team choose my project for its simplicity and because it made they products more visible.
